Late Shri Nanikram Menghraj was a philanthropist and visionary who donated his wealth to start a school to educate the children of refugees who came across the border, during partition. His dream was converted to reality by Late Shri KishinchandMulchandani who established “The Nanikram Menghraj Trust Academy” an English Medium High School in Central Mumbai.
Late Mr. Kishinchand Mulchandani was the Founder Trustee of – “N.M.T. Academy.” He fulfilled the dream of his mentor and donor Trustee ‘Late Shri Nanikram Menghraj’.
A strong advocate of education, Shri Kishinchand Mulchandani was an accountant by profession as he himself was one of the first Sindhis in his time, to have graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Sydenham College of Commerce.
N.M.T. Academy (Nanikram Menghraj Trust Academy) was established in 1970 by Late Shri Nanikram Menghraj & Late Shri Kishinchand Mulchandani.
Admission to the Academy is open to all irrespective of caste and creed. In order to promote national integration, special efforts are made to develop a spirit of mutual understanding
The Academy caters to the Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Sections. The Primary Section is recognised by the Education Department of the Greater Bombay Municipal Corporation.
